Tradition Shaped – Stone. Metal. Passion.

Our company was founded by Walter Steinfelder Sr. – a respected craftsman with a keen sense for materials and forms. His exceptional talent for working with natural stone, iron, and occasionally wood was appreciated far beyond the region. With his passion for craftsmanship, detail, and expression, he laid the foundation for what we live today.

His son, Walter Steinfelder Jr., grew up in the family business and learned the craft from an early age – not just with his hands, but with his heart. He learned to feel materials, understand them, and bring them to life through shape and design. His work is deeply rooted in tradition, yet always open to new approaches.

Today, we proudly and passionately continue this legacy. Our work as master blacksmiths spans all styles, from Romanesque to modern. A special focus lies on preserving antique grave crosses, maintaining the cultural beauty of Bavarian cemeteries.

Another key part of our work is granite fountains, which we incorporate as garden features – including columns, water installations, or custom-made garden elements.

In addition, we buy, sell, and restore antiques. We are happy to advise you on sales and support you in the process. Purchasing jewelry is also part of our portfolio.

By combining experience, intuition, and true craftsmanship, we bring your ideas to life. Each project is unique and bears the signature of our family business.

Our works are an endless source of inspiration – they invite you to shape your space with feeling and character. Choosing a piece from us means choosing authenticity, timeless aesthetics, and something truly special that endures.

Whether for private gardens, public spaces, or architectural projects: we create places with soul. And we have been doing so for generations.

Our inspiration is traditional craftsmanship. We aim to preserve the traditions of past generations while always remaining open to new ideas.

Our Bavaria

The culture of wrought-iron grave crosses in Bavarian cemeteries is especially close to our hearts. For many years, we have been collecting and restoring antique grave crosses with great care.
Our customers appreciate the wide selection of historic pieces we offer as an alternative to newer blacksmith work.

Bringing Ideas to Life Together

The Schäftlarn fire department received a new fire station, which was to be celebrated with a ceremonial inauguration.

Fredi Glas and Woratsch Sepp from the Ebenhausen fire department came to us with a used fire hydrant.

"Can we attach an iron bar at the bottom so it becomes a beer standing table?"
Together, we developed the project further and donated the finished beer standing table to the Ebenhausen fire department for the inauguration celebration.
