The fountain pen Montblanc Modell 232 presents itself with a glossy black, cylindrical body. Gold-colored decorative elements such as the clip, double ring, and nib details emphasize the elegant design. The nib is of the rare OBB type (Oblique Double Broad) for wide, slanted lettering and bears the engraving “Montblanc 2,” confirming its belonging to the series. At the base of the nib, there is also a characteristic crescent with two lateral symbols recognizable – both feature the typical Montblanc mountain motif, another sign of authenticity.

The filling system is based on a piston mechanism with a transparent ink window, marked with “620.” The barrel bears the engravings “652405” as the serial number and “D.R.P.” – Deutsches Reichspatent, indicating patented technology that was developed before 1945 and continued afterward.

The original box is two-part and rectangular in design: the cap bears the inscription “Schreibmayr” (a Munich stationery specialist), and the base is white and perfectly fitted for the writing instrument.
