The Montblanc Model 22 fountain pen features a glossy black resin body, complemented by gold-colored decorative elements such as the clip, ring, and nib details. The two-tone nib—gold-colored with a silver iridium tip—follows the typical design of a genuine gold nib with iridium overlay. There is no engraving, but the material is likely 14K gold. The nib size is not clearly marked, probably M or F.
The filling system operates with a piston mechanism and internal ink reservoir. The cap is engraved with “Montblanc 22,” and the ring bears the markings “GERMANY” and “MONTBLANC,” as well as partially “BLACK.” The length when closed is approximately 13.5 cm, and the weight is 14 g (empty) or 24 g with the original case.
The case is rectangular, black, and bears the inscription “MONTBLANC REPAIR SERVICE.” It is fully intact but shows signs of age-related wear.
The condition of the writing instrument is good: slight signs of use are visible on the barrel and clip, the nib is intact and functional, although there are no engravings. The mechanism has not been tested.
